More specifically, it's about the lives of two brothers, one brother's son, and the many women who surround them. Charlie Harper is a well-to-do bachelor with a house at the beach, a Mercedes in the garage and an easy way with women. His casual Malibu lifestyle was interrupted when his tightly wound brother, Alan, and Alan's son, Jake, came to stay with him. Complicating matters further are Charlie and Alan's narcissistic, emotionally toxic mother, Evelyn; Alan's deeply neurotic ex-wife, Judith and Charlie's domineering, unapologetically blue-collar housekeeper, Berta. Despite the complexities of their lives and their own strained relationship, Charlie and Alan have one thing in common - they both love Jake and want what's best for him. As a result, they manage to create a little family unit that promises to make each of them a better man. guys Ashton Kutcher is the new "half man" in the first four episodes of season nine everyone talks about how he acts like a child, he is now being raised, in a different sense than growing up, but year he is a fortunate guy that never learned how to live on his own. I'm a person with the right to say what I want to..... If you guys don't like the show just don't frickin see it. i'm sick and tired of people saying the shows not the same without charlie and that the shows dead without charlie. guess wat? Who are YOU to decide when the shows over or when it sucks. People have different opinions but if you know your opinion is gonna cause a whole riot on this page keep it to yourself.It's kind of good that they changed a little the was THE SAME FOR 9 WHOLE YEARS. Don't get me wrong, I loved it and I its plot but im just saying changing a little is good. Everyone has a choice charlie decided to do what he did knowing his actions might get him kicked off the show, the show chose to continue the show by replacing charlie and you can choose to watch it or not without turning this page into a whole world war 3. Charlies gone now, stop living in the past. :) -

That is the writers fault for having minimal range outside of the typical immature humor. Charlie's new show will be more serious and focused on characters rather than simply comedy. -
man alan character is the only one that is keeping the show btw have you notice in these season alan is realy pathetic at least in the other season there were other girls he was with remember that santa girl but now still lyndsey yawn. ashton keep monopolising the girls in the show and he is realy irksome.i know alan is down of luck type but come on not that pitiful

I actually like the show better with out CS. With the new characters it takes a fresh spin and there's more room for creativity as far as writing is concerned. With Charlie Sheen it was always the same. He drank, banged chicks and acted all cool.. It's was OK for a few seasons but then it became sort of monotonous..

well said Tankdogg. There`s so much punches and guidance (for flirts lol) till season 8 and its clearly charlie`s charisma.The show is still going ok with ashton but all the characters are dumb . I am just pointing the characters in the show not actors.I am sure they will bring back charlie if they are serious about their business.

Who the hell are you to tell people what they can or can't complain about. You clearly don't know a damn thing about show business anyways. Especially if you think the writers were the ones coming up with everything. Charlie improvised a lot of his lines. There's a reason he was paid way more than Ashton per episode. It's a little thing called talent. None of those writers could come up with half of the clever & racy stuff he said.
Ashton is stuck in "That 70's Show". Everything is the same old lame juvenile schtick. -
If you retards are gonna complain about how the show sucks without Charlie just don't watch it. I miss charlie too but I saw it coming. If you're gonna complain that Ashton Kutcher isn't as funny as him - The people who are writing the script are the ones with humorous talent not the actors. They're the same people who were writing even when Charlie Sheen was still on the show. The producers of Two and a Half Men said Ashton Kutcher's contract is only good for one season so if we don't like him then next season they'll bring back Charlie Sheen or bring in a new different actor I don't like Ashton Kutcher myself I wish Chuck Lorre wouldn't hold a grudge on Charlie Sheen because now the show sucks ass

I am still waiting for Ashtons to blossom into a HUNK, and that ashton will have a very sexy sister who is a men eater(or other relatives, who wants a piece of his money), then i think i m gonna like it for shure! Bring it back!....Ashton needs to change(some method acting)...i think we al understand what the shows wants to do....to forget charlie sheen....But ashton is to much a nurd!!!, because he is to soft balled, what sharlie sheen did behind the scenes is his thing for shure....and he was born for the show...ashton sucks charlie big time! And i am still hooked on the rest of the cast...and still waiting for some off the old days...i miss carlie sheen a lot! wtf hunk, ashton isn't funny one tiny bit. Their will never be anyone as funny and as simply good as Charlie Sheen. They don't pay u 1.8mill an ep if u suck. I have heard american audiences arn't enjoying the new series either. Such a diffrent pathetic show now. Dam u Chuck Lorre, pay him 5 mill an epp to bring him back. You know he is worth the investment. Ashton is such a try hard. He plays the same kid acting dork like in that 70s show. The first 9 episodes in in season 9 were surely funny, but episode 10 today, that one really cracked me up to the point I got teary-eyed. AWESOME WORK!!!!! (N.B.: Sheen is not missed at all. He ruled in the first 8 seasons, but no more)
