Top User Competition - Play Time !

Hello fellow tvlinkers,

Since the community helps to keep the site up, we have decided to repay the community by starting a link hunting competition.

Each month we will be giving out cash prizes to the first 3 link hunters. The prizes are :

1. $200
2. $100
3. $50

IMPORTANT:   Please be aware that the Link Hunting Competition has entered in a temporary time-out.  Please check back often as we will be hosting other competitions (with iPods and iPhones and cash as prizes) and giveaways (dvds, t-shirts, coffee cups and the sort)  quite shortly.


Rules of play

This is a link hunting competition, so the tvlinkers with the most links get the prizes.

This is a monthly competition, which will start on April 1st at 12 AM (GMT-6) and will End on April 30 at 12 AM (GMT-6). On the 1st of May we will give out the prizes and reset the leader board. There is no end date for the competition.

Links must be manually submitted. Also, please try not to add more than 10 versions to the same episode/item.

Please submit in accordance to our Link Guide

The versions you submit are counted, so if the version has 1 part or 12 parts it's still counted as 1.

No links to websites that contain, racism, fascism, violence, extremism, pornography or other illegal content are accepted. You must also check the Terms of Service and submit content that does not violate the TOS.

You can check your ranking on the home page, viewing the Leaderboard.

Admin, can there be a system like One can add several version of a movie in one go?
I mean after adding one link we have the option "add more links to the previous title"

But It would have have been faster if we could add several version in one page.

I think an option like "add another version" on the "add link" page would complicate things and people will start adding versions instead of parts and the other way around.

We're pretty satisfied with the current system and users seem to use it fast, but we'll try to find a solution to make it better

Edit; How often is the leaderboard updated?

The leaderboard is updated every 2 hours, as most of the site is. Good luck in the competition !

How the cash prizes will be paid out?

The cash prizes will be paid out on the first day of the month through paypal. If paypal is not available in your country, then we will discuss alternatives (moneybookers, western union etc).

And there you have it : The end of our first link hunting competition.

And it was one hell of a ride.

As the end of the competition got closer, Minnie got very close to taking special3220's first place and they went head to head for a couple of days in an intensive sprint for the finish line.

But special3220 went all out. He managed to post almost 4000 links and secured the First Prize. He was just amazing.

Minnie came in second with over 2500 links posted.

davydam came third with almost 1000 links posted.

I would also like to mention the runners up: _BUD_( 519) and joeB_ (515).

Just want to say: Good job guys. You are great and you make this community what it is.

Yap that was something special. I think Minnie was awesome. He posted 2547 link in just 9 days!! 283 link per day!!
